In a conservative society that scrutinizes her every move, a single pregnant woman, Patralekhaa, lives independently, shrouded in mystery and suspicion. Reluctantly drawn into her life is Divyendu Sharma, whose nosy aunt, Dolly Ahluwalia, resides in the aptly named Badnaam Lane in Delhi. Constantly observing and gossiping about the residents, she keeps her nephew updated on the enigmatic Bengali surrogate woman, setting off a chain of unexpected events.
