Amidst the chaos of communal riots, Tara rescues Sakina from a crazed mob, forging a bond that quickly blossoms into love. They marry, build a happy life together in Amritsar, and welcome a son. Their peace is upended when Sakina stumbles upon a tattered newspaper revealing her father, whom she believed had died during the riots, is alive and now the mayor of Lahore, Pakistan.
Overjoyed, Sakina contacts her father, who arranges for her to visit him in Lahore. Leaving Tara and their son behind, she journeys across the border, only to discover her father's hidden agenda—to erase her ties to her family in India and force her to start anew in Pakistan. Determined not to lose her, Tara embarks on an extraordinary quest, crossing borders and braving immense dangers to reunite with his beloved Sakina.
