Akhtar Hussain, a kind-hearted man, saves the life of Nawab Salim and earns his gratitude. Invited to Salim’s grand mansion, Akhtar accepts and embarks on a journey that changes his life. Along the way, he encounters the enchanting Saltanat and falls deeply in love. Upon reaching Salim’s home, Akhtar is warmly welcomed, given a job, and a place to stay.
As Akhtar and Saltanat’s love blossoms, they plan to marry, unaware that Salim secretly harbors feelings for Saltanat. Despite Salim’s heartfelt advances and proposal, Saltanat remains steadfast in her love for Akhtar, leaving Salim heartbroken. Saltanat and Akhtar marry and soon start a family, welcoming a son. Salim develops a deep affection for the child, who grows fond of him in return.
However, as time passes, Akhtar's life takes a dark turn. He falls into bad company, succumbs to drinking, and begins an affair with a courtesan, threatening the stability of his once-happy family.
