8.3In the turbulent Chambal Valley of 1975, where lawlessness reigns, a gang of bandits led by Maan Singh thrives on plundering villages. Calling themselves *Bhaagis*—rebels—they live by robbery, but their infamy stems from a despicable crime that has made them relentless targets of the police.
When Maan Singh hears of a treasure of gold being exchanged at a wedding, he sets his sights on it as their next heist. However, the gang falls into a cunning police ambush, forcing a narrow escape for some members. Stranded in the harsh, barren terrain, tensions rise within the group over their next move.
Their path crosses with a woman from the lowest caste, pursued by a ruthless family clan. Under her care is a young girl, brutally raped and left gravely injured by the clan's leader. Confronted with her plight, the bandits see an opportunity to redeem themselves and confront their own guilt, seeking a chance to atone for their past misdeeds.
